How to be an open-minded IB learner

2021-04-20 10:08:55

Respected teachers and dear students:

Good morning! You must be familiar with the historical story, which tells that Lian Po apologized to Ling Xiangru with a stick full of thorns on his back. Ling Xiangru became an official with a high rank since he gave an undamaged jade to the state of Zhao. When Lian got the news, he became angry, but Lin is always tolerant and he regarded the safety of the state as the major factor. When Lian knew it, he was embarrassed and apologized to Lin. From then on, they became good friends and the state became stronger because of them.

We are not born to be independent. We always need to react with different people. How can we be open-minded? They are shown as followings:

Firstly, be sympathetic. There must be some differences even between twins. Try to put yourself in the other’s shoes and to accept different views.

Secondly, be tolerant to others’mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes, even a machine. Try to find your mistakes and help others to correct theirs.

Thirdly, be open-minded. Be free to gain and lose. Show your true love to others and you will get the same.

Dear students, let’s be an open-minded IB learner. Face to your mistakes and be free to gain and lose. Thanks for listening.
